Psyllium Psyllium is an essential herb to used when you wish to support your horses normal gut function. Psyllium is prepared from the husk of a plant that has been recognised for it's beneficial effect on the gut. After consumption Psyllium swells to form a soothing gel that
complexes and removes any toxic elements in the gut and suspends heavy inert particles such as sand and gravel. These are voided in your horses' droppings. Your horse should be given a course of Psyllium at least once a year. Especially useful in Autumn in preparation for stabling in the winter to remove sand digested at pasture.
